LooUQ Unveils Device to Enable Wireless Gateways

LooUQ is proud to announce our newest device, the MTC2-EtherPHY. The MTC2-EtherPHY facilitates the creation of wireless gateways, products that connect the wireless world to the physical Ethernet infrastructure found universally in commercial facilities. The MTC2-EtherPHY does this by providing two necessary functions: power and wired Ethernet connectivity. For power, the EtherPHY incorporates a POE (power-over-Ethernet) circuit with two outputs: 5 volts and 3.3 volts. The Ethernet connection is provided with the well-supported WIZnet W5500 chip, an all-in-one Ethernet TCP/IP interface. The W5500 chip is supported by Zephyr with an off-the-shelf driver. Production devices will be available in late September, with a small number of engineering samples available in the next couple of weeks. Once production units are available, LooUQ will provide Zephyr integration details and sample applications.
